Good first round for Rodriguez, firing the jab beautifully as usual, doubling and tripling up on it and hurt Diaz with a right over the top. Diaz is landing with a jab of his own though and Rodriguez sometimes thinks he's safe when he's not and drops the left and paid for it there.

Just love accurate punchers and Rodriguez is one of the more accurate punchers in boxing.

Very surprised with Diaz' jab, he's catching Rodriguez squared and landing. Even round and in the end gets good, very nice exchange. This is the fight of the night.

Handspeed just is so much greater for Rodriguez. But this is the way he starts every fight, he comes back to earth in the later rounds, Diaz providing consistent pressure and still doing good work with the jab even though he's not winning here.

Wow, they are having some spirited exchanges. Good left hook from Diaz and Rodriguz answers with a left hook of his own that puts Diaz on the ropes.

Rodriguez almost got stopped here in the 4th, recovered and won the second half of the round. Again, good fight. The left hand down cost Rodriguez, thought he was safe.
