Correct me if i'm wrong.. isn't it if w/in 4 rounds, the rule is to declare no contest if 1 fighter can't continue due to technical reason like this case by accidental headbutt. The only fault i see is that if Rahman himself decides to quit before the doctors decision to stop the fight. If this is the case then the decision should be correct.
Yes but the fighter doesnt make that decision. Rahman was the main one trying to stop the fight.

I'm not sure what to think...i've seen guys try to fight on with limbs damn near falling off, and it almost seemed like rahman was looking for exit knowing the cut rule. Either way to toney a win is a win so we're definatly gonna hear his mouth the next couple of weeks.

To be honest Mar, with the way the heavyweights are going these days, Toneys mouth would be refreshing as to add spice... Also be fun to hear Haye and Toney talking sh*t back and forth, since you know thats gonna be happening any day now

I'm going all in with Toney, he's our only hope for an American heavyweight champ....Haye Vs. Toney sounds like a perfect matchup to me.

By the letter of the rule it was shady but at the same time the doctor wouldn't have stopped it if not for Rahman doing all he could to get him to stop it (outside of actually saying stop it)

Exactly. There was really nothing wrong with the decision if you ask me, Rahman didn't want to fight. When you think about how many guys have fought on with much worse cuts after being behind anyways in the later rounds, it makes Rahman look like a little girl for those antics last night. He milked that for everything it was worth during and after the fight, and obviously wanted the out. I can understand since the NC rule is in place for 4 rounds or under, he obviously expected to get that result. But the fact is he wanted the fight stopped when he could have continued.
