I think people see this guy as a limited Mosley type fighter, but people need to remember Mosley at lightweight were his power counted for something, and Berto has that type of speed, but he also has a great jab. While guys like like Mosley threw a snapping jab, this guy actually throws a technically correct jab that really dictates the range. Just let him improve on his defense a little(I think he should try to get Floyd Snr as his coach) and he will unstoppable.
I don't think he hits as hard as anyone at welterweight, that's a stretch. He doesn't use his jab enough either. I do think he should try to get a defensive minded trainer and Floyd Sr. would be perfect because Berto is so athletic with such good upper body control that he could stand to learn a few things from Floyd.

He got Estrada, only done also by Cintron, and I honestly can't think of a harder punch in the division then Berto's right uppercut.

I find it really hard to judge how good Berto is. I mean his speed and combinations are great. Until he steps it up though to the upper echelon, my jury is still out on him.

I he can maintain what he does against them, he will be tough to topple.

funny...i can, Cotto's left hook to the body, and Margarito's overhand right both are harder than any of Berto's barked punches, the dudes fights sound like if Scooby Doo was in there fighting

I think someone like Berto gives Clottey hell (keep in mind I'm not the biggest Berto fan, I like the kid but he still has to prove himself)

Someone like Berto who moves and has lighting fast hands compared to Berto. Bertos gonna look like Flash and Clotteys gonna look like he's fighting in slow mo.

I think Berto beats Clottey, Berto will stick and move all night and Clottey with his lack in foot skills will just plot around and wont find him....

    Berto win...

Not even close. Cotto does hit hard, but he isn't a one punch type guy at all. When Berto lands that uppercut he can end the fight on that punch. Cotto hits with a lot of force, but he doesn't have that snap that makes him a dangerous puncher who will put somebody to sleep. And Margarito doesn't hit as hard as Cotto or Cintron or Berto. He's a tough mofo, but he doesn't hit htat hard, he doens't have good technique on his punches, and he doesn't have a lot of speed on his punches, Tony just throws a lot of punches and he hits hard enough, like Cotto, that people can't deal with it.

I won't deny that that Berto has tremendous snap to his punches, but I don't know if he has that raw power yet. We've seen a bunch of guys able to take a prolonged beating from him taking lots of clean punches, Rodriguez for example. Just don't think power is at all proven yet.

Berto has yet to dissappoint me yet, he's gotten better with each fight, has learned from early mistakes, i'm not quick to say he's the greatest thing since sliced bread but the kid is bad and definatly has huge potential. I see forbes as just another gradual step up for berto, fighting semi big name, but not too big.

I see Berto's hand speed,Improved agility and punch accuracy is top notch against the also rans.He is a faster combo hitter rather than one punch hitter no doubt but He has yet to step it up big time......Clotteys lack of "Fire" as of late screams complacency and he needs to back Berto up or he losses.

I think people don't realize guys like Berto and Roy JOnes Jr don't throw all their power into every punch in a combination or even in a fight, they only really load up occasionally where as more pure sluggers will load up on every punch, So Berto hits really hard most of the time, but then he will hit extremely hard when he loads up on a uppercut which is when he becomes a one punch KO type fighter.
