Ezzard Charles would be my vote, Foster is there and so is Spinks and I think they may have been able to beat Roy Jones. Although he was not there long Micheal Moorer would be dangerous for all the great light heavies, no one hit harder.

The reason that I didn't include Ezzard Charles in this list is because I view him as more of an heavyweight than a light heavy and he never held the light heavy title!

Sorry i dont get that logic charles was past his prime when he moved up to heavyweight and so what if he didnt win a title at light heavyweight he still whooped archie moore 5 times and beat the most ducked and probably one of the most skilled light heavyweights of all time charles burley i know what your trying to say its easy to look at his record and say you consider him more of a heavyweight but trust me he was much better at light heavyweight

Also why I had a other category is I knew people would disagree with some of my choices so they can vote other and state who! Ezzard will be remembered as more of a heavyweight for the fact he was heavyweight champ and he would in this day and age have beaten Marciano with the terrible cut he gave him.

Well i might be the only one that thinks this but what about Billy Conn and then the great Gene Tunney but maybe there to old school anyhow. Micheal Spinks would of knocked Roy Jones Jr out and thats how i always felt but thats just me and buy the way good thread rep coming your way. By the way who did you vote for i take it Roy Jones Jr right or am i wrong.

Yep absolutely! I honestly think he was one of the greatest p4p fighters of all time in his prime and the greatest light heavy ever.

Again with Conn and Tunney I was only allowed 10 choices and they were all off the top of my head so sorry for the ones I missed!

Call me crazy but I don't think we've seen enough of Michael Moorer at this weight I feel he could have easily cleaned out the light heavies. a southpaw, tremendous boxing ability great speed, and flat out awesome punching power.

Dont know about Spinks and Jones, interesting. Both could fight from angles others cant and lower and coiled positions too, both counter punch off on the others reactions. Usually different styles make for better fights. I think Roy could still hit on the move better while in transition and maybe Michael could avoid some and counter harder in some head on clashes timing both moveing forwards. , I think Roy would of out drawn him. < Thats Michael in the black shorts.

The RJJ in the 2nd Griffen fight would have beaten any LHW in history IMO! That was a focused dangerous RJJ with a point 2 prove, shame he didn't have that killer instinct 4 all his fights!

So what he was by far a better light heavyweight, and he beat Archie Moore twice, same with CHarley Burley 2x, Joey Maxim 3x, Bivin a few times, etc.

By the time he was a heavyweight he was a relatively washed up compared to his prime.
