Agreed here aswell i dont think Khan is rubbish or anything like that but he is far too hyped and all the fighters he has fought have been feather fisted except Gomez but he was a shot fighter and was better at the lower weight classes and Khan to me isnt stepping up at all i just read a thread here that Khans camp offered derrick gainer a fight ? what a joke that is why dont he fight someone like David Diaz or atleast a live opponent with some recognition ? but i have been very impressed with Mares and Gamboa's opposition so far

Great thread. I don't think that Khan will be put in with someone as dangerous as Gamboa until he leaves Warren. The only dangerous fight I think they are likely to take is a very lucrative one like Manny Pacquiao because I think that they know he isn't as good at this moment as he is hyped up to be and if they are going to lose the 0 which IMO they would against world class opposition it would have to be when they are making lots of £££££££££££. If I was in charge of Khan I would be chasing David Diaz all over the place because Diaz is still a very good competitor can take a lot of punishment and would give Khan a few problems he hasn't faced yet, but Warren doesn't think like that he thinks the way to go about it is build a record up with bums and has beens and then go for the weakest of the world champs in a division and then low and behold he has a mediocre fighter that is world champ and has ducked every single top fight out there.

There is another British Lightweight prospect out there who I like the look of and that is John Murray. He looked really good the other week against Lee Meager for the british title and I think he could well cause Khan a few headaches too but again I don't think Warren would allow this fight to happen!

Agreed i think theres plenty of fighters in the lower weight class that are better but dont get recognized because of the weight class they are in which is a shame by the way i like your picture of Joel Casamayor he is one of my favorites

I dunno what Khans rep is like overseas but he's only big here because a) he's an olympian and b) he's like the only prospect we have!!

These other guys you mention are probably better but they in a far bigger pool talent. Its not like there all clearly established names yet.

Khans just a bit of a golden boy to us Brits really.
