"If there's a better chin in the world than Pryor's, it has to be on Mount Rushmore." -Pat Putnam.
Jules Winnfield - Pulp Fiction - Samuel L Jackson
Melvin Udall - As Good As It Gets - Jack Nicholson
Dr. Christian Szell - Marathan Man - Laurence Olivier
Katherine Tranmmel - Basic Instinct - Sharon Stone
Col Nathan Jessup - A Few Good Men - Jack Nicholson
Del Grifith - Planes Trains & Automobiles - John Candy
Viggo Mortenson - Eastern Promises
I put that one ahead of all the others because he is easily the most badass character in movie history in my book. What he did, oh man. You have to watch the movie once and then go back and watch it again to get how amazing of a character he really is.
Daniel Day Lewis - There Will Be Blood
Rocky - Rocky 1,2,Balboa
Michael Cain - Children of Men
Uma Thurman - Kill Bill
Dudley Moore - Arthur
More to come.
Yeah, awesome movie. Had I been told there was a 5 minute male frontal nudity scene beforehand I might have thought twice, and they went and turned it into one of the coolest scenes in the movie and made him even more badass. On second watch I liked it even more there are layers and layers of symbolism in the movie that I was completely oblivious to and then of course you pay attention to everything he did before the big plot twist.
One of my favorite movies ever I might watch it again tonight.
Lol, Amat inspired me to watch Eastern Promises again and they just played the shower scene. F#cking brutal.
They did an awesome job representing the Russian Mafia tattos and how each one is supposed to tell an individual story of that person. They even look "prison" made. Good stuff; not sure if he did, but Viggo should have gotten some sort of award for that performance.
Clubber Lang - Rocky III
Ivan Drago - Rocky IV
John Rambo - Rambo
Darth Vadar - Star Wars
Yoda - Star Wars
Coach Boone - Remember The Titans
Gimli - Lord Of The Rings
Whoopi Goldberg - Ghost
Doc Emmit Brown - Back To The Future
Biff - Back To The Future
Charles Bronson - Hard Times
Stiffler - American Pie
Annie Wilkes - Misery
John Coffee - The Green Mile
Dr. Malcolm - Jurassic Park
Red - The Shawshank Redemption
He got nominated for Best Actor but lost out to Daniel Day Lewis. I'm not so sure I can disagree with that simply because Lewis' performance was much more epic and maniacal performances always score at the Oscars. I preferred Eastern Promises though but at that point it was just a matter of preference.
Speaking of Best Actors, Forrest Whitaker as Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland was great as well.
