This is a good point, however, I will say that Gatti always had more boxing skills than people gave him credit for. Yes, he loved to brawl.. but the skills to be a slicker boxer were always there, and McGirt did a good job of bringing some of them out.

What I don't like about a Floyd Sr-Hatton pairing is that Floyd's defensive style tends to work best for fighters who are moving backward, side-to-side, or back against the ropes, and Hatton doesn't really do any of those things. He's a straight ahead fighter who pushes the action.
