Whilst I agree that Mayweather is indeed one of the fittest fighters ever to enter a ring, I have to point out that Floyd intelligently monitors his punch output. Some rounds he will punch as little as possible, so it is very seldom that he is ever fatigued.

Calzaghe on the other hand is a volume puncher - a real worker. He throws as many shots as is possible, so obviously he will be fatigued. When a fighter enters with the mindset that he is going to throw as much as he is able he is going to use all of his fuel regardless of how much he has, where as Floyd enters and only uses what he needs.

But he still pushed himself till the very end producing another high punch output at his advanced age. Floyd has never been pushed or punched as much as Joe would.

Floyd ran from slow easy to punch Baldomir, hed have fits with Joe bombarding him every second, Joe wouldnt give him time to roll around.

Lets see if Floyd is still unbeaten or even fighting top level ring belt holders when hes 36, I very much doubt it

Yeah in 5 years time, if Floyd has the balls to fight Cotto or Margarito I dont see him still being unbeaten or even on the top of his game like the ageless Calzaghe

Floyd has done well to manage and avoid some of the better fighters like Tszyu, Cotto he even turned down good money to fight Margarito when he was quite willing to go in with the very little known Baldomir

Joe has wiped his division clean, Floyd cant say that in any division, never mind, he might one day hold 2 ring belts simultaniously if he tries a bit harder

    Hes got time bless im

If you're Calzaghe you go to the US to fight Roy Jones Jr. at 175 earlier because #1 RJJ was the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world and #2 he was one of the most popular fighters in the world.

If he beat RJJ in like 1998-2000 then hell the sky is the limit but if he beats him now he does NOTHING for his legacy but if he loses then he shows he really was a protected fighter...Kessler is good but was still green when he fought Joe much like Jeff Lacy was although Mikkel had better fundamentals.

Calzaghe said neither Hopkins nor Jones wanted to fight him, in Hopkins case we know this to be true with Jones we can only assume it to be true.

Look at the guys Roy was fighting 1998-2002 why would you take the risk in fighting Calzaghe who at the time held nothing when you could beat up on cans for the same?

Facts are Calzaghe was not known in the US HBO would not go for it and he also had nothing for Jones or Hopkins to fight for no name no marketability nothing.

That of course changed when Joe beat Lacy because he was introduced to a US audience in a big way and immediatly drew attention from both Showtime and HBO who prior had never shown a Calzaghe fight live.

As for Kessler being green the guy was a great amature won two world titles and had 39 fights, if thats green in a Chinaman.
Roy moved up to LHW in 1996 or 1997 and Joe didn't win a title until 1997 so unless Joe was willing to move up to LHW which he didn't talk about until 2000s the fight could have never happened

Hopkins was never hurt by that shot he new it was a close fight so he tried to get Calzaghe deducted points. You Carnt tell me if Hopkins was winning easy or had Calzaghe hurt and he got hit with the say shot he would of reacted like that cause there is no way he would of.

Hopkins was hurt by a right hook to the body in the 11th you can hear him grunt and Dan (slim) Rafael said as soon as it landed a huge grimace befell Hopkins, Bernards body got taxed by Calzaghe weather people want to admit it or not.

Hopkins was hurt in that fight.

B-Hop is over 40 years old....he's hurt when he wakes up in the morning the fact he took Joe the distance and damn near beat him (and in some people's opinions he did beat him....not mine of course) is pretty damn tough to explain away when Joe is in his prime and "the best pound for pound fighter" as his fans tout him to be.

I do not think that joe is in his prime he is 36 that not a prime age adn from what i seen he has slown down a bit. I think he might of done better if he was prime hard for me to think a man who is 36 is in prime no way because come on how many people are in prime when they get that old.

Look TysonBruno you say that Joe fought alot of bums but your favorite fighter Mike Tyson is the king of fighting bums i cant count all the crap he fought. Then he gets beat by Buster Douglas who is far from elite. Then comes back fights his first elite fighter in the real deal not a fack like him in Evander Holyfield and gets his ass kicked all over the place. So all i am saying is your full of shit and do not judge fighters that do the same thing so like Richard Pryor use to say shut the fuck up and have a coke.
