OK another question?
Could Floyd hold on with Cotto's punches?
HE ain't called MArgarito. We all know if Margarito would had a normal chin he would have been out early

I think Mayweather can cause he hardly ever takes a clean punch on the chin he will make Cotto miss and then grab much like Hatton fight. But Cotto is still a much harder fight than Hatton and i think Mayweathers work on the inside is underrated.
S**t i sound like a Mayweather Fan now!
Floyd wouldn't have to bust Cotto up. He's clearly faster than him and would be content to decisively outbox him.

Its important to remember that Floyd has neither the chin or power of Margarito. Look how many shots it took to make Cotto crumble. Floyd would have to hit him like that for 20 rounds to get the same impact
Sosa lasted 12 with Floyd and Floyd was down vs Hernandez, Judah ( not counted ) and hurt by Corley. Cotto can hurt him too . Its a completely different fight stylistically
Floyd wouldn't KO Cotto no way. He KO'd Hatton due to the fact Hatton just rushed in and took so many clean shots. Cotto wouldn't make the mistake Hatton would. Cotto is smarter. I still give Cotto a big chance if him and PBF fought.
He was stunned by Corley not hurt, Hurt is what Corley did to Cotto. Floyd was down against Hernandez because He hit his hand wrong, and Judah countered him and caught him off balance, so none of these prove that Floyd doesn't have a great chin. Margarito doesn't hit that hard, and he wasn't landing a whole bunch of clean shots with really good leverage behind them. Also what does Sosa lasting 12 rounds against Floyd have to do with if he could bust Cotto up? I am not saying he would stop Cotto, I am not saying he will outpunch Cotto, I am saying that his punches would effect Cotto enough that Miguel couldn't just walk straight in all night.
Cuz if a complete bum like Sosa could go 12 with Floyd without ever being troubled then an established superstar like Cotto could. Just compare their fights with Sosa.
Floyd has never met a pressure guy like Tony so we dont know how he'd react . A chinny light welter like Ricky is nowhere near the kind of pressure hed face from Tony. So seemings as weve never seen Floyd handle pressure ( apart from when most people thought he lost to Castillo the 1st time) I think its a decent indication to how hed do with Margarito .
Chinny or not Hatton came forward the whole fight. He put more pressure on mayweather then Margarito ever could because he is way faster if Margarito can't keep up with Mayweather were is the pressure going to be coming from? Nobody puts more pressure on an opponent then Hatton does thats his whole game, He smothers you. If oyu would watch the first Castillo fight, Castillo whole key to success was not putting on ridiculous pressure. Castillo was coming in, not throwing punches and he really gave Floyd problems because Floyd is better when his opponent comes in throwing punches, but Castillo was taking his time and using a more Cotto type approach against mayweather where he ignored the head and went to the body mostly, but he cut off the ring effectively which Margarito has never done, and he was a lot faster than Margarito and threw way more accurate punches.
Also what about Sosa, he had just almost taken off Spadafora's head before he fought Mayweather. He was different fighter when he fought Mayweather, and Mayweahter hits way harder at 147 then he did at 135. Besides, Cotto wouldn't be able to take COtto's power so why are you assuming that Sosa's chin isn't better than Cotto's? Another guy Ndou who regardless of his chin came forward throwing a ton of punches against Mayweather had Margarito's height, also had good power, but Mayweahter was able to dodge almost everything, and Mayweather was fighting aggresively that fight.
I'm not arguing that. I'm just wondering why so many people would even think Floyd would bother to stand and trade with Cotto. Floyd didn't go 39-0 for no reason. He's smart. Smart enough to know that boxing would be his ticket to victory.
I'm not sure he would be able to keep on the inside with Cotto who cuts off the ring well. THat being said FLoyd took as clean of a shot as I've seen from Dela Hoya and he didn't even flinch.
