Look at the end of the day, these 2 guys put on a great fight....

but these threads about Mayweather getting battered by Tony are ludicrous.

I actually think Cotto would be a much harder fight for him.

Mayweather likes to get on his bike and fight in reverse. He actually enjoys it, whereas Cotto doesn't or at least didn't look comfortable.. Even if Tony had him (mayweather) pinned on the ropes, Mayweather's defence would take care of it. He avoided much better/faster combinations from ODLH while laying on the ropes, so i fail to see how Tony would make his combo's land.

There was times early on in the fight where Tony started following Cotto around just like Chico did against Floyd. That's how elusive Floyd is. I just see Tony following him around in a similar fashion to what Chico did. Granted i don't see Mayweather hurting him, and i'd expect the fight to be a bit more competitive, but i still see Mayweather winning quite easily.

Finally i think it's important to remember that the styles clashed perfectly on Saturday night. The fight flowed perfectly, Everything about it was just perfect and while i feel Tony is one of the most relentless guys i've ever seen, being relentless isn't enough against Floyd Mayweather.
