Didn't Beard work with Hatton for the Lazcano fight? I'm sure he helped Hatton with some new combinations. I thought he looked a lot better than he had recently done...with his combinations.

Now Hatton has split i think it would be a good idear to bring a new trainer not Graham's understudy.New trainer fresh idears we mite see the Ricky Hatton of old where he doesnt hold all the time.

Hatton trainer retires!
Billy Graham, long time trainer of Ricky Hatton, has decided to retire, leaving "The Hitman" without a trainer for his November clash against Paulie Malignaggi. There had been speculation that the pair would split after Hatton's brother Matthew recently left Graham's Gym and things came to a head on Monday.

Shame really, I though they would be together till Hatton called is quits.

If the storys are to be believed a bit gutted for ricky that BG has decided enough is enough.
The 2 complimented eachother perfectly and i genuinely believed they would never split as long as ricky was still fighting.
Hopefully beard is enough for hatton and he doesnt go chasing some US trainer that is gonna wanna teach him whole new things rather than just sticking to what he is good at.
one dangerous horrible bloke

yeah have heard a few tabloid types, sites, papers etc making it out as if hattons just dropped graham no mention of him retiring, just cos as u say contoversy sells.

Too little too late,Hatton should have f*cked him off after the Collazo fight, way too one dimensional under Graham.
Let's allow our fighter to get on the piss left right and centre and pile on the pounds between fights, that'll benefit him in a tough 12 rounder.
It's a young mans game the way Graham gets his fighters to fight
Same old ideas with no plan b!
Never rated Graham really![]()

Billy's been a great servant to boxing and the decision is probably a good one, the mans hands need injections before he goes on the pads - the man needs a rest.
Anyone who puts in the time and dedication to training fighters and teaching youngsters boxing deserves credit.
