Sweet Pea traveled to Mexico and humiliated Chavez in front of all his fans, only to get robbed in the biggest robbery in boxing history (IMO). Whitaker was going to grant Chavez a rematch if he only admitted that he lost. It never happened therefore the rematch never happened.
