So gay, a clan merger? Don't parties merge when they are not strong enough to stand alone?

The Baggins Clan merges with nobody. We are the original and best of all the clans, although I'm sure JT would like me to point out that I don't include the Old Guard in that statement, as unlike all the other clans, Old Guard is 'not a clan or clique'.
