i always see this before marg beat cotto no one was really speaking up for him but now that he beat cotto who imo is not that great very good but not great he can be almost anyone ww berto might not be ready but ill tell you this bertos hand speed and quickness periode would make it very hard for margarito to hit him margarito turtle slow because he kept up with flat foot cotto who is also slow people think he can walk down anyone not the case at all

I think Berto can be the best in the division but would say let him make 2 or 3 defences and then mix it with the elite.

Love watching Berto fight he often reminds me of a young Azumah Nelson.

I think he'll school Forbes but I haven't seen enough of him to make my mind up as far as the likes of Tony and Shane go. I hope he's good enough though, I'd love to see another ultra talent in the welter div.

im not saying people dont like him because he's black but i do feel like black fighters do get put in the big mouth section before anyother fighter who could say the exact same thing. and as for margo being at the top rank the only one he beat with any type of skill was cotto who imo isn't great so lets see who margo fights next and how he does before we start giveing him major props

Ohh my eyes.No,I think Margarito is exactly where he deserves to be as far as due respect at the top tier.Look,Berto is well on his way.....to where?Time will tell us that.BTW,You do realize that even Margaritos sparring partner & stable mate KO'd the biggest name on Bertos Resume last week .Just a thought.

dont read between the lines with me i havnt said berto is the greatest but anyone with true speed is going to give margo trouble do to the fact that he is slow i think that would be obvious.

Look, Berto is not a bad fighter but people are to quick to bring up names like Mosley and Margo... Both fighters would dismantle Berto... Not his fault but he's not ready. I just think he's not as special a fighter as everyone thinks. I'm not sold.

Mmmm... This is true. I mean, we're all entitled to our oppinions. I just don't see how Berto'd keep him off.. He's got some pop, yeah... But so did Cotto and Cotto was the MUCH BETTER boxer.

Cotto boxed brilliantly in the early goings of the fight. Some of the best boxing in his career.

yes cotto out boxed him but cotto is an ok boxer with a weak chin and not much stamina plus cotto puts his head in the middle of his gloves exsposing him for upper cuts if mago would have let more upper cuts go he would have put cotto down in the 8th or 9th burto is quick on his feet quick hands and upper body move ment very hard to hit a guy like that plus his jab is great he wont have to keep him off him stick and move and its on the bag
