Pavlik murders Calzaghe inside of 9.
What does Pavlik bring that Calzaghe hasn't faced in Kessler ?

and include the fact that he is slow and predictable.

Pavlik might have good power but the reason calzaghe has been undefeated so long is because of his granite chin.

I like the guy but his resume is probably the most overated today. wins over Miranda and Taylor. Thats it.

Calzaghe beats Pavlik with his superior footwork and handspeed, and counters the predictable pavlik coming in. Pavliks right hand may cause calzaghe problems and might even put him down but Calzaghe will adjust like he did with Kessler and win a UD.
I agree with this, and I don't think the Hopkins fight is gonna help or prove anything with PAvlik.

What I'd like to see is Pavlik fight Abrahams and if he impresses then I'd give him a better chance against Calzaghe

I agree too. Pavlik is a power puncher but lets not overlook that he is rather plodding at times and Jermain did well in the rematch. Joe has an amazing ability to adjust during a fight so even if his machismo gets the better of him and he decides to match Pav punch for punch , the time will come where he decides to just get the win and thats where he turns it on . Pav hasnt got a plan b and will keep on doing the same thing . Joe however just as he did vs Kess and Hopkins will see whats working , find the answers and be able to outsmart Pavlik in every aspect of the game with his experience, boxing skill and speed.

Hopkins was a ring genuis but in round 4 you clearly see Joe work him out, instead of coming in with his flurries trying to look good, Joe would step in behind his right jab , get out of range again, force Hopkins to work then counter him 5-1 . He did it on volume and ring smarts . I consider Hopkins to be a much smarter fighter than Pavlik so If Joe can out wit him then Pav would be a walk in the park in comparrisson . I also think Hop is holding the aces vs Pavlik . Its just pace and strength of Pav down the stretch that he has got be concerned about .
