Manny will fight Oscar hard but the FACT is that Manny Pacquiao is currently fighting at the weight that Oscar started his career at and Manny began his career fighting basically at strawweight...and this is a fair fight now It makes it even more of a joke! If this fight is anywhere near competitive then I guess Oscar had all the right reasons to avoid both Cotto and Margarito.


Antonio Margarito deserves the chance to fight for the torch of the division/fans admiration. He has been fighting since he was 15, he just beat the undefeated Miguel Cotto, and he has taken on all comers AND has been the sparring partner for fighters such as Oscar De la Hoya. If you're Oscar you repay Tony for his help in providing a great service to your career in preparing you for other fights.

Pacquiao is great but I would rather he at least win a title at 140 before jumping to 147 to fight Oscar.


As for Oscar's career, it has been a great one but we haven't seen the fire in him for a long time....he dismantled Mayorga but he didn't really have to do anything special to do that. He hasn't had a big win since Vargas in 2002 and even then he was being outboxed for the majority of the fight....albeit he was just getting used to the Mayweather style of fighting which makes it a BIG BIG win but it's been a looooong time since then
