As for Whitaker-Taylor... I felt Taylor was beating Chavez a lot more so than WHitaker was. He beat Chavez every single round, and I felt he looked a lot more impressive against Chavez, except the fact he got knocked out.
I don't think Meldrick Taylor was beating Julio Cesar Chavez better than Pernell Whitaker was i think Julio Cesar Chavez won more rounds than he got credit for........

And gave Meldrick Taylor a bad physical beating even though he was losing the rounds he was doing far more damage.......

Meldrick Taylor may have won more rounds than Pernell Whitaker did against Julio Cear Chavez depending on how you scored it but i thought Meldrick Taylor fought a silly tactical fight when he could have easily outboxed Julio Cesar Chavez......

And that goes back to what i said earlier with Pernell Whitaker having better boxing brain that Meldrick Taylor and didn't let his pride take over unlike Meldrick Taylor did many times.

Meldrick boxed a lot more then he was given credit for. I hate this RJJ and Mayweather get credit taken away because they box safely, while guys like Taylor who do what people ask, he boxes, but he doesn't run away he is considered to have used the wrong strategy. Meldrick used great movement in that fight, his defense was great in that fight, but Chavez hits anyone he fights, he hit Whitaker a lot of times, he hit everyone.
I don't know if your implying me but i have never took any credit away from Floyd Mayweather or Roy Jones when they have fought defensively.....

As for Meldrick Taylor you can't honestly say he used to right tactic against Julio Cesar Chavez.....

He stood toe to toe far too much when he could have just kept circling the ring and landing combinations and using his jab im sure if you asked Meldrick Taylor im sure he would say if he could go back in time he would of just used an in out tactic and boxed for 12 rounds.......

Im not saying all his tactics were bad against Julio Cesar Chavez he done somethings very well like stopping Julio Cesar Chavez's workrate with his own superb workrate and combinations and using good movement and if he wouldn't of stood toe to toe too much and if he wouldn't of let his machoism take over he would of clearly won 12 round decision without taking half as much punishment he did.......

But his corner didn't help either and i think they cost him the fight when they told him he had to win the 12th round......

As for Julio Cesar Chavez hitting Pernell Whitaker alot ? i have to disagree i think Julio Cesar Chavez did land some good shots in the first 5 rounds but after that it was all Pernell Whitaker and he made Julio Cesar Chavez look foolish by making him miss and even hurting Julio Cesar Chavez a few times on the inside......

Except for the occasional right hands i don't think Julio Cesar Chavez hit Pernell Whitaker that much.
