    Agree

Anthony Mundine. Now not earlier in his career.
    The Petersons seem fairly protected.
    Valuev earlier in career.

The thing is, JCC Jnr didn't have an amateur career and Khan is just a prospect. Pretty much all prospects are protected....especially when they have youth on their side. Surely it's more sensible for a fighter to learn the professional game properly, then to throw themselves in at the deep end.

The ams are a lot different to the pro's, so to me i see no problem in any decorated amatuer taking their time.

The Peterson bro's and Andre Ward are doing the same thing and imo it's the right thing to do.

Maybe if the fans and media didn't over-react to every loss and bad performance, we'd actually see prospects in more competitive fights. Just a thought.

To be fair it's not Froch's fault. Fail to see how he's over-protected when he's only had 23 fights. It's not his fault opponents pull out on a regular basis.

Yeah, that's what I thought ono.

How can Froch be a protected fighter when no one will fight him? Taylors people (Lou Dibella) ADMITTED they'd sooner fight Lacy, not just for the money, because he's the EAISER option.

Inkin has pulled out twice against him in the past year. Pretty sure Berrio accepted then changed his mind.

I'm not much of a Froch fan, he seriously needs to land a fight, but protected fighter is - crap.

Ok Inkin pulled out but the guy is ranked no1 by the WBC its crazy.

He should have had a B level test by not he aint wheres the likes of Bika, Mundine, Berrio, Zuniga? all guys that travel and fight anyone. Froch maybe good but the moron tries to clown Calzaghe and Kessler but he aint done shit.

So why did Berrio pull out of fighting him then?

If those who you mentioned are B level fighters, so is the guy who Froch mullered isnide 2 rounds last year.

    Andre Ward in my mind

Andre Dirrell of the same olympic class is already talking title shot's and where the hell is our gold medalist? Fighting the like's of Jerson Ravelo and Roger Cantrell. C level fighter's where as our bronze medalist is fighting Anthony Hanshaw B level fighter's.

Bika, Mundine and Berrio are all fighters ranked by The Ring. Tatevosyan is a 35-year old guy with 7 losses (2 out of last 3 before Froch), who got lucky in meeting Markussen on his career's worst night (Markussen lost that fight more than Tatevosyan won it) and besides that has lost to everyone else half-decent he has met.

    Please dont compare these fighters.

They expected Berrio to take the fight at 10 days notice, an (admittedly limited)
former champ asked to be an opponent to an up and comer in his home town, he did precisley what anyone else would, tell him to fuck off.
