Sure... but do you think PAC can make one slice (cut) on Hoya's face?
Felix Trinidad couldn't. Ike Quartey couldn't. Ricardo Mayorga couldn't. Pac won't either
Who were the boxers able to inflict a cut on Hoya's face?

I think he bled slightly against Vargas. But I'm not sure. That's the thing. Oscar has never shown skin that cuts easily. He will laugh at Pac's punches

If The Former 130 pounder Featherfisted Forbes can Damage DLH's Face, Pac can inflict way more damage to DLH.

Now check the last 5 opponents of DLH... They are still Pretty after the DLH fight. Forbes a little bit Bruised but not as worst as DLHs.

Pac ain't no Steve Forbes. Forbes fought at 154 before. He's naturally bigger than Pac

De La Hoya isn't a money chaser, he has foughten the best opposition, I truly think he believes Pacquaio is the best challenge for him, and the biggest fight he could have to leave his career. I think its more that this fight will bein the spotlight of sports media like Mayweather-De La HOya, and that Margarito-De La HOya wouldn't be this big, not because of the money, but because De La HOya wants to go out with a bash.

Because Pac is on the top of the hill. Beating Pac would greatly raise him up.

How many threads are you going to start about this fight?

We should merge them all together.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Look at DLH's face You guys criticizing Pac-DLH are campaigning For DLH-Margarito. I thought you guys cared for Boxer's welfare If Forbes can do that kind of Damage.. What do you think Margarito can do to DLH Have Mercy guys. Let him Fight Little Pac.

According to who? I ODLH beats PAC I will give him very little credit.
Nothing in this fight will improve my view of Oscar nor will it add any credit to his legacy.

Naah,Its about the Dollars. You were Right the first time
We all agree that it's primarily due to the huge money but Hoya already had so much money. Why he wanted to get into this loss-loss situation and suffer all the criticism thrown at him for picking a smaller warrior?

There must be something personal in this fight...
MAYBE Hoya wants Pac to be destroyed by a Mexican.

Oscar said it's personal... He felt betrayed by PAC in the past when PAC signed with GBP first then switched to Top Rank.
This may be the following reasons why saddo.
    1. Pac is an easier win for hoya.If hoya beats him he may be criticized for beating a guy coming up all the way from 106pnds. up to 147. That's 10 divisions south: quite shameful eh? But hey, pac is #1 p4p, beats him and you can brag: i beat the #1 p4p in the world etc., etc...
    2. Roach insulted hoya by publicly saying hoya is old and faded, based on his training with him he said hoya is not the same hoya anymore.
    3. Pac turned down hoya's golden boy to arum's top rank. He almost took that 100k$$$ but in the last minute, because of some technicalities of contract, was obliged to sign arum's toprank. Personally that's quite embarassing for hoya. So this fight might come down also for personal vendetta of hoya against pac for turning him down and making him a fool in front of everyone, and roach for the disrespectful comments he dished out in public.
    4. Hoya doesn't want to fight mexicans or mexican-americans for his last farewell fight.
    5. Hoya might do this for his fellow mexicans who lost on paper against pac, like mab(2x), jmm, and larios. All under goldenboy or was under goldenboy.(Since i heard mab is trying to make his own promotional outfit and planning to cut his ties with hoya.)
Sorry i thought i posted a wrong thread. Jeez...
