Is it me or do Brazilian Women make any Sport exciting........They could start a competitive "just Standing there" contest and I would make it a point to watch![]()
Thx for link, even if it doesnt work in Europe.
I watched the other six middleweigt fights too which included a few good scraps. The Cuban Correa looks strong, making easy work of a decent opponent. Also looking strong was his next opponent WC-silver medallist Derevyanchenko (Ukraine). Both would be obvious medal contenders with another draw. Carlos Gongora (Ecuador) looked almost freakish (or Paul Williams-ish) with his reach and might cause problems for anyone.
Now off to the light-heavys again.

Hey Mikkel_K can you do a strike through the names of guys that get eliminated of gray them out of something?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Has David Price fought yet ?
I know its just beating a dead horse but Olympic boxing's scoring is just shitty.
Watched that middleweight fight (I think it was middle) between the Cuban Correa and the Australian guy and the Cuban was better and deserved the win but the Australian guy was landing a pretty solid left hook to the body for the first couple of rounds (and landing it pretty obviously) and getting nothing for it. Then the Cuban guy throws one body shot and gets the point. I mean it landed so I guess he deserves it but still.
And with this open scoring there's gonna be a lot of running in the last round or two, especially

The Arroyo twins are from my hometown (Luquillo, P.R.). I hope they do well.

Done. Dunno what happened with the colour - was experimenting a bit, and then everything turned red (on my screen), even in posts I wasnt editing?
I missed the last LHW fights yesterday, but a few noteworthy results in between: World champ Atoyev losing to Sal's favorite Tadjik Kurbanov being the biggest one. Carlos Negron beating a world ranked Iranian (10 on ABA's rankings) and looking good while doing was should be mentioned as well. ABA's 5th ranked Semiotas also went out. At the bookies I placed my money Atoyev was favorite, while I placed money on Beterbiev (2nd favorite, easy through) and Negron at 66/1. Looking good so far...
Only now started watching today's fights (Danish tv started broadcasting boxing now). The commentators appears impressed by the British boxers' earlier btw.
Not really any surprises in the Light Welter-division, but worth noting an American 14-1 defeat and a Bradley Saunders KO in the first round. Best ranked (ABA) boxer to go out was Hungarian Kate (, who lost to Irish John Joe Joyce.
In welterweight Brit Billy Joe Saunders' impressive 14-3 win over WC bronze medallist Adem Killici (Turkey) stand out the most, along with Sarsekbayev's demolition of Canadian Adam Trupish. Sorry Canucks, this time it's already over by day 2.
