i would say in 99.9% of the time yes it does. Not many people like to give a 10-10 round, they all try and look for something to edge the other guy to the 10-9 win. So for someone to give someone a 9-9 round would take something special.

I'm fairly sure there has been rounds where a person has been floored and gotten an even round... i'm sure some of the fact machinces on here can quote the fighters, but someone would have to batter someone for pretty much an entire round and get dropped right at the end to score it 9-9 or get dropped right at the start and dominate the rest in style. Hardly ever happenes.

most fighters who get put down go into a shell for a little while - or you will often find when a fighter is put down the floeerer gets a small boost and steps it up a gear.
