    Marco....

As eloquent and intelligent man outside of the ring as he was a fighter within the ropes.

In his youth he was a lion, his fights as tactical as an urban dirve by shooting.
As he matured he became a sosphisticated general of the ring, constantly calculating.....which punches to throw, when to defend, when to expend energy and ultimately, when to finish.

His career portrays the perfect evolution of a fighter....originating as a firecracker of a fighter he developed and matured into an expiereinced intellectual of the boxing ring. Yet he retained all of his fire, when provoked Marco was nevershy in returning fire, his lions heart meant he never backed from any opponent in his prime.

He was a great and I always mention his name alongside Salvador and perhaps above JC superstar.

Marco was an excellent fighter who fought the very best , and brought us many fantastic fights to enjoy.
For me Marco dominating and shutting the Arabian Prick Hamed up , was his defining moment although he was in more exciting fights.
His losses to Junior Jones proved that styles in boxing make fights.

    Thanks for the memories Marco.

By knocking hell out of Naz.We all knew that Naz was far too cocky and such a smart arse.Even know Naz was always great to watch,"Maybe for all the wrong reasons!".It was kind of good to see him have dirt thrown back in his face and to have his arse kicked by a great fighter like Barrera was the icing on the cake.A great hard, hard fighter. Thanks Baby-Face Assassin!!

I will always love Marco for the beatdown he gave Naz. Naz should never have left his corner shop.

MAB in his prime and at his best was one of the most versatile fighters ever. His presence and view of the ring was amazing.

A fighter that could adapt to any style and just dominate def. top 3 Super Bantams all time and most def. an ATG.

I learned to respect MAB late in his career, the rivalry between he and Erik blinded me and I never gave MAB the time of day. This doesn't mean I didn't know how great MAB was it just means my fanboyism never let me acknowledge it. Having been able to get a hold of 45 fights of MAB I've been able to see how this dude was like a mongoose and just beat opponents.

Crazy to think he announced his retirement after only wining his 1st title vs. Jimenez in 1995.

MAB embodied all the great points of warrior in the ring, technically brilliant always exciting he could lead, counter, blitz and defend and he did them all exceptionally. If you were going to pick the skills that you would want in a perfect fighter it is likely that MAB had those skills. He brought us a trilogy for the ages, and ducked noone. Very little negative to say about him.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
