Actually, there was a KO on day two. A fella from GB knocked out his foe in round one with a body shot.

The winner was interviewed after the fight and about all I could make out was "Ricky Hatton left hook" lol

Even worse than the ridiculous scoring system (well, you can't really get worse) is fighters running throughout the final round when they have a lead.. Most of the fights are so messy, it seems like you need to be more lucky/favoured than good to win this thing

I've decided it just flat out sucks. Scoring sucks, the fights suck, all is just shit.

Professional boxing is either my favorite or second favorite sport but this is just crap.

Women's gymnastics > Amateur boxing.

but really they should go back to the old corrupt system. Who cares if its corrupt, corrupt judges can't be any worse than Harold Lederman. Plus the new system has totally turned the fighting styles to shit. At least when it was corrupt there wasn't so much slap boxing, running, etc.

Absolutely Ridiclulous pretty much sums it all up.The thing I would think is fair is to take away open scoring and start deducting for every 10 seconds to the fighter who does not throw any punches and is winning.Alot of times I've seen kids and man just get on their bicycle in the fourth round and cruise to the desicion without throwing anything.

Another advancement they should start to bring around is sensors.Sensors should be placed in the boxer's gloves,headgear,and on body at the end of the contest tally up which shot's were legal and illegal and there's your winner. People will say that won't do anything well remember this is amatuer boxing not professional it's about what is thrown and what has landed not the impact or flashiness of the punch.

Raushee warren apparently is out and was screwed.. he was heavy favourite to get a medal.. i seen the guy to he is strait up class.

i dont know what it is i mean no offense but soon as i saw this stuff i started thinking korea games when jones jr was robbed.. maybe some crazy shit going down with these asian officials.. not a racist thing but more so a question towards politics in those countries etc..

it just seems crooked.

I think the scores at the end should not be made available to people in the arena. Only TV. That would stop all the running.

Another idea would be to have the scores based on the punches that all judges think landed and not just the 3 out of 5 rubbish.

KO's should automatically be scored 5 points. Flurries you should be awarded 3.

Amateur boxing and pro boxing are completely different thats all there is to it. Most pro fans don't care for it. Having an amatuer background is good but doesn't always mean the guy can "fight".

This judging is just bad though, not even following what they say a scoring punch is.

I dont even neccessarily think the judging is bad..

I certainly just believe that they chose this style to judge.. and now its gotta bite them in the ass.. Cos its one thing to say look.. heres how we are going to score from now on.. thats fine.

But when it comes out to be flawed.. and so many decisions are going wrong, people are getting screwed.. not just olympics.. my guys, people i know are coming back to the gym and saying.. i dont know about that shit.. think i was robbed man.

its like.. sure.. do it that way.. do it right.

But they do it that way.. and the results are coming back incorrect and its just not fair in general.

He only screwed himself really, he thought he was ahead despite his corner tellinh him to work and he defended an imaginary lead.



The scoring in Nevins fight was terrible.
Nevin had one of the best opening rounds I've ever seen, but it concluded 0-0
