Yep, the VHS we had was worn out, so we got the DVD. (My mom has watched it at least a hundred times; she's gotten to where she can almost recite every verse in the entire movie )!

Not sure how serious this statement is meant to be taken, but I am pretty sure they were out ten years ago. I thought I started seeing ads for them around 1998. My Wolf VHS tape had as a trailer for the DVD quality on it and I bought that in 98.

I started buying DVD's in early 1999 and at that time BestBuy was selling both DVD and VHS.
