    Never saw this fight.

The funny thing about me & boxing is that the old man got me started all those years back & he was all about the heavies...I liked em & all that but Hagler & them fools @ 130 - 160 caught my attention more...so I had to get into the heavies at a later stage.

Lewis was the one that really sucked me in...he fought like a little man...oddly enough...I pretty much always detested Tyson.

    I know that's offa the page...but that's that...moving on...next post!

You damn right...we been drinkin in broad daylight & on the fwockin jobby job...I mean...who's gonna tell...right?

I saw this fight LIVE on Wide World of Sports when I was like 12 years old. I hardly knew shit about boxing (what did you say? I still don't? You;re right!) but still I was utterly mesmerized by the action ... about 17 yrs later after asking all around I got hold of the tape. It still mesmerizes. Howard Cosell did the MC'ing, and man was he dramatic and moving.

I just watched it. All I can say is wow that was one hell of a fight. You don't see that kind of match's these days especially in the heavyweight division.

lol did you watch the ref at the end? didn't bother worrying about Lyle's well-being, just the fact that he could get up or not

Ron Lyle should have won that fight but he had worse stamina problems than Foreman. Lyle had been hammering Foreman in the 5th round with heavy shots, but some time in the middle of the round he took a deep breath, backed up to the ropes and stayed there until Foreman pummeled him onto the canvas. If Ron Lyle had trained just a little bit harder boxing history would look much different. Foreman was totally confused in that fight, had no idea what to do when he got tagged, and was there for the taking all the way until the last minute of the fight. Of course I loved it for the heavy slugging but artistic it was not! Just as Howard Cosell said "It's not artistic but it's slugging, just as boxing fans like it"

WHOOPS! Is that a subliminal hint? NO!
Just criminal intent to make fun of Lyle again
    Starr offend? NO! Starr'll assault.
And if you mention Ali, you get from Lyle an insult
