I'm not saying Holmes isn't great, I'm not saying he wouldn't be a tough fight for anyone, I'm not trying to diss him, I just think he didn't have the strongest era of heavyweight competition, I don't think he or Mike Tyson had very much keeping them from being as dominant as they were as opposed to Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Lyle and Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield.

The same people arguing FOR Holmes argue AGAINST Rocky Marciano when IMO they had similar eras. They came after very great very popular champions and dominated but the same guys those great champions beat were sort of hanging around but weren't in their primes and the younger talent had not yet developed.

Wladimir is a decent Heavyweight Champion nothing more and let's stop pretending otherwise. He's not even the best Heavyweight of the new millennium - Lennox Lewis has been the best in this decade even though he was knocking on.
