The excuse that Hamed was not mentally or physically prepared for this fight is BS. Barrera was the first great fighter Hamed faced...and Marco exposed him. Don't get me wrong...Hamed was an entertaining fighter with physical gifts. But he had no where close the same overall skill, intelligence, and heart like Barrera possessed. Marco won the mental war (some call it dirty tactics, but Marco new exactly what kind of effect the turnbuckle incident would have on a weak minded fighter like Hamed) and he ultimately won the physical war. Marco's game plan for that fight was perfect. So it doesn't matter if Hamed was maybe not at his most focused for the fight. He simply didn't have the polished skill or ring intelligence to ever beat a legend like Barrera.

correct. I must admit I liked it when he rammed his head into the turnbuckle though. Also even though I like Hatton I thought it was funny when PBF made him butt the turnbuckle lol
