Eh, I don't mind. This is good for Williams, I hope he gets this fight afterall if anyone in this division deserves the De La Hoya spotlight he does as he's the one guy at the top who has yet to get his own super fight.

I hope it happens. Everyone hates both of these guys though and I can understand very few of the qaulms here. Is the demand really that great for De la Hoya to fight Margarito? Pacquiao-De La Hoya was a stupid idea and I'm never going to be convinced otherwise no matter what Freddie Roach or international matchmaker Ausdf Smahfsd says.

So this makes sense, Williams needs to capitalize after his last performance, he looks like he might be entering his prime.

Anybody else think a De La Hoya vs Cotto match-up isn't so far out there? Even though Cotto lost recently I still think this is still an interesting fight.

Cotto just lost, so beating De La Hoya would put him right back in the mix.

De La Hoya would still be fighting one of the best and a very marketable fighter.

I know De La Hoya said he would fight the "winner" of the fight but we all know he isn't fighting Margarito. The "loser" of that fight isn't exactly a walk in the park but a very valid opponent for anyone..

DelaHoya said he will not fight any Puerto Rican (orders from his Puerto Rican wife)... that includes Cotto, Santos, Tito and Ivan Calderon...

I would love to see Cotto bash Dela hoya's face in.

Yeah... let's see if Team Hoya will finally mention the name "Miguel Cotto"...

I don't think Hoya-PAC is a stupid idea... The 5'0" Calderon fought and beat the 5'5" Cazares before and they will be fighting again this weekend. I hear no protest about this David vs. Goliath fight. Cazares also enjoys 4" in reach advantage and maybe 15 to 20 lbs. weight advantage on fight night... Calderon-Cazares has more size differential than PAC-Hoya and no one calling it a stupid fight. And here's the irony, the smaller guy won the first fight...

Calderon only moved up one weight division to fight Cazares though, after being at 105 his entire career before that. Pac fighting DLH at Welter after not even taking a real challenge at 135 is fairly crazy. And the smaller guy winning is not even remotely ironic, I always get a kick out of how badly everyone butchers that term.

I'm pointing out the size differential that everybody is protesting about the planned Hoya-PAC fight. The Cazares-Calderon fight has about the same if not bigger size difference than Hoya-PAC...

    ...................... Height ....... Reach
    Oscar DelaHoya .. 5' 10.5" ...... 73"
    Manny Pacquiao .. 5' 6.5" ....... 67"
    Difference ............ 4" ........... 6"
Maybe 10 to 20 lbs. weight difference on fight night...

    ... ...

    .................... Height ... Reach
    Hugo Cazares .. 5' 5" ...... 66"
    Ivan Calderon .. 5' 0" .......63"
    Difference ......... 5" ........ 3"
Maybe 10 to 20 lbs. weight difference on fight night...

No way this fight happens . Paul is the best out there and his style is a nightmare for anyone. Oscar would not seriously consider this fight . Theres more chance of him fighting Tony cuz atleast he would land some shots .

Oscar/GBP mentioning Paul Williams name in order to generate additional hype for Hoya-PAC fight...
