Ken is done and dusted, although who knows, perhaps he is aiming for one last hurrah?

Most people don't remember the great submission artist Ken Shamrock especially during his pancrase years. Unfortunately some one convinced Ken he was a great striker. The guy has good power and a great chin but his striking never really amounted to anything more than brawling. When he won it was usually b/c he was simply tougher than the other guy not b/c his superior skill. Its too bad. Had Ken stayed more true to his submission background I think he would have won more fights both in the middle and at the end of his career. If he took a submission mind set into the fight with Kimbo I'd give him 25% chance. The guy was awesome with knee/ankle locks and heel hooks. That being said he will try to trade blows with Kimbo and either get blasted or be so gassed by the 2nd round his corner will throw in the towel again.

Well put. I feel the same except for the great chin part. He's a little chinny lately. He's been out several times now, not tko's. He seriously went to sleep.

Joe is old himself . What about him beating Kessler and Lacy when they were young unbeaten world champs ?

As for Shamrock - Kimbo . Ken will rush at Kimbo at the start then get tapped out with a choke hold 45 seconds into the fight

ever since Ken's own brother frank said he was on roids, i have wondered about his talent as a fighter.he obviously can't coach himself, the last time i saw him win he beat fellow jucier kimo with a knee, and had erik paulson as his trianer...after that he dropped erik and well lost a lot...hmm. i can't believe elite xc would risk its rep on this kind of a match up.unless Ken and Kimbo come out with much improved games, it will mean little. also its about time kimbo started answering the questions about his ability...he needs some game fighters to beat not old dudes..hell if thats what they want i would meet the criteria and be willing to try him...lol

iceman, everyone knows kimbo isn't ready for the big time, even kimbo. he's a guy who started late in the game and is just enjoying the ride. but just because he isn't taking on fedor doesn't mean it can't be an interesting match. ken is done, kimbo will never get there, but they might just put on a good show.

Kimbo will beat Ken like he beat Adryan. Of course, if it were Ken a few years ago it'd be a different story.

It would need to be Ken from 10+ years ago. I remeber watcing his fight against Fujita. Now Fujita doesn't have Kimbos technique or hand speed but he probably hits just as hard. Ken owned him till he gassed out and his corner threw in the towel. The reality is Ken's MMA prime was a very short period of time.
