My aim away messege, my facebook status, my computer screensaver, and if it gets to me that bad, my sig will be some sort of protest against this fight.

This in my opinion is one of the biggest jokes a sport has ever seen. The worst part about it is it's my favorite fighter and I'm going to have to watch it.

    BS, utter BS!!

Well, what did you phukers expect? Did you all really think that Oscar was going to fight the phuking boogie man after what he did to Miguel Cotto? Please! Just look at what feather fisted Stevie Forbes did to ODLH back in may. I think the PAC MAN can chew up ODLH right about now.

    WAR PAC MAN!

    I'm RICH BIATCH!

I will laugh if Oscar say's he is retiring.

    LOL

According to a couple reports, Schaffer is saying that he still wants Oscar to fight in 2009. He's saying that he's hoping Floyd comes out of retirement and that they can still also pursue Hatton at Wembley. Good lord. ODLH is the biggest crook in boxing history. If he doesn't plan on retiring then tell me why again is he pushing this as his final fight? The only reason some people are giving him a pass for fighting Pac is because this is his last fight but if it's not...he's a crook.

I agree to certain extent since it seems he wants to retire in the most positive way: with a victory, making fans happy, with a fat paycheck, etc. All seems not to go his way if he fought Margarito: not so sure about a victory, fans wouldn't be happy if he beat a Mexican idol, paycheck wouldn't be as big.
Just look at what feather fisted Stevie Forbes did to ODLH back in may. I think the PAC MAN can chew up ODLH right about now.
Exactly what you said about Cotto beating Margarito before so let's wait and see. Having people see Pac with a possibility of beating ODLH should make this more exciting. Anything can happen, should be exciting, hopefully.

ODLH fighting on 2009? What sources said that?

Have they gave a date for Pac's funeral?

    Heheheheheh

I dunno, but after seeing Forbes give ODLH some competition imagine someone of a higher caliber like Pac. Sure, never saw ODLH in complete danger with Forbes but still a punch or two that landed marked ODLH face and Forbes is not even considered a puncher. Pac is going up in weight, not sure if his punches will be THAT strong but still, I see him bringing more to the ring than Forbes.

    Default Real Champs

I think Mosley is better than DLH. It is so annoying to think of him getting these ridiculous fights/offers. Why can't boxing be about REAL champions? I am sure that I am just restating some stuff other people said, but seriously. Pacman needs to pursue realistic fights.

On a side note... does this remind you of Roy Jones jumping to heavyweight to grab a belt real quick (from Ruiz) and jumping back down? Pacs next fight is going to be difficult.

I wonder if he will look to Hatton with this victory? It would be a logical step.

It's a no win situation for either guy

    a) Pac wins, well ODLH is past it legitimatly.

    b) ODLH wins, PAC is too small.

There is nothing to gain here but dollars, but since we all agree that that's all that matters, I'm sure you're all happy.

It's just the dislike people have for ODLH. Like I said before, people complained when the Forbes fight was being talked about saying he was the worse thing out there for that fight and how wrong it was as a PPV. Then, it was announced that the fight would be FREE and tickets for the stadium would be cheap, PEOPLE STILL COMPLAINED! No matter what ODLH does, he will be criticized. I am yet to see people say something positive about him around here.

This isn't true. If Pacquiao wins at 147 pounds, it's a huge win for him, no matter how old Oscar is.

Pea, I honestly feel this fight is a huge mismatch. Like it's been said, Pac started at 106 and De La Hoya has been as high as 160. Pac fought at 130 at the beginning of 2008 and will fight at the end of the year at 147? I think he's messing around too much with his weight.

I see how people say Oscar is going to struggle to make 147 but Pac took 9 rounds to knockout a natural 135 pounder who he hit at will. How much will it take from him to hurt someone MUCH bigger than that. He isn't outboxing Oscar, so power would have to be Pac's edge which I don't think he has either. Pac will have to rely on speed and speed only.

Also, after this fight, he has to move back to 135 to fight one of the real lightweights or maybe to 140 to fight Hatton. Fighting at 147 and having to lose that much weight for his next fight won't help Pacquiao. I think of what happened to Roy Jones after beating Ruiz may possibly happen to Pacquiao.

I think winning this fight for Oscar means exactly as he said of avenging all the Mexican fighters who lost to Manny. I don't think he really thinks Manny is the biggest challenge out there. It is a somewhat safe fight for him that will make him some serious cheddar. Manny is just too small of a fighter for me to give De La Hoya credit for beating.

If Pacquiao wins, it will be an upset in my eyes due to the physical advantages De La Hoya possesses over him. But then, I honestly feel this, people would think if Manny can beat Oscar, then that means he can fight Floyd. That is the absolute last person I would want Manny to share the ring with.

Sorry I started to rant a little bit, but that's what I feel about this fight.

Pacquiao really is going to get beat. Hell he's fought Lightweight once against a bum and now he's jumping 2 divisions to face a naturally bigger guy. Oscar late KO IMO.
