On this Aussie website, the first thing the "pro's" on the site start saying is like "are you sure boxing is the sport for you/careful, it'll be a reality check for you when you get hit in the nose for the first time/man you are to old you should just choose to climb mountains it's safer blah blah blah"...

I guess i'd just like to congratulate everyone on here for not being patronizing, high strung, egotistical w@ankers just becuase you are all involved in boxing...
Unlike these aussies I heard from who are, for some reason, under the impression that boxing is like some duel to the death, kill or be killed gladiator sport where only the elitist of the elite should even dare to consider taking it up and the rest of the population without balls the size of texas and heads the size of canada should stick to playing table tennis and stay away from this almighty untouchable sport that is boxing..

Get in touch with reality Australians!!

& keep up the good work saddo residents...

Mate i happen to be australian and im in touch with reality. What you need to realise and i also believe roy jones jr also said is that everytime you get in the ring you will be fighting for your life. Say you get a bad ref that lets a fight go on too long and you take too much punishment then this other person could end your life. It is a reality check when you get hit in the nose, you cant just absorb it, it makes your eyes water and can impare your vision and make you not see that dangerous punch coming. Dont bag "those" aussies, this is there opinion and some of what they are saying is true. Boxing is not ballet, its a rough sport and you can get hurt..............and get hurt badly, just ask gerald mclellan and Watt. Both of these fighters were hurt badly in fights. I cant figure out if your a yank, pommy or an aussie that doesnt agree with the other aussies.
