Theres different variations of defense guys like Willie Pep and Pernell Whitaker just used there reflexes alone where as Floyd Mayweather Jr is more of a textbook defensive fighter.

You forgot to mention people with the type of defense Carlos Baldomir, Antonio Margarito, Librado Andrade, and Ricardo Mayorga have. I don't think they've given it a name yet but they basically can get away with blocking numerous punches with their face.

With a chin like margarito and constant workrate to eventually wear you down i don't think it really matters unless the other guy has a great chin himself and boxes better...even then margo will keep on the attack..
