Cotto Margarito wasn't a David vs Goliath fight they are both legitimate welterweights.

Manny is moving up about 3 divisions to fight Oscar, Ruiz was a clear foot shorter and about 50 lbs lighter than Valuev and Calderon was 6 inches shorter and about 20 lbs lighter than Cazares on the night.

The Cotto Margarito fight was just a regular size welter against a big welter nothing out of the ordinary at all.

Same even with Paul Williams, it can't be a David vs Goliath fight when both fighters are fighting in the smaller guy's natural weight class.

The little guy has to be moving up in weight to fight the bigger guy.

but tony weighed as much as 160 in a JMW bout. and i dont think cotto ever weighed that much. i dont know, but i thought he was too big for cotto, i think cotto is a normal welter just like floyd, zab, shane, etc. but paul, tony, maybe even clottey and cintron look like big welters to me.

Margo enjoyed a 6" advantage in reach and 4" in height over Cotto... And Margo weighed heavier on fight night... These are the same numbers Hoya enjoyed over PAC... So if you consider Hoya vs. PAC as a david vs. GOLIATH fight then Margo vs. Cotto is rightfully another one...
