Wadeb,
I'm at work now.

But to make it even more laughable I got stuck on step 3.

Step.1 - Open box
Step.2 - Insert WizardSetUp disc
Step.3 - Follow Instructions

When I inserted the disc to help me set it up it tells me that it's picking up (2) routers. Meaning (2) connections but how? If I only have (1) that's hard wire which is connected by Modem. How can it say it's picking up (2)?
first thing I would do is go to your router make sure your modem is connected to your router, then just for the time being hard wire your router to your laptop just to set up the router/wireless network. Once your hardwired go to your computer and get on your internet browser and put in the following address 192.168.1.2 (I think that is netgears standard address for there routers, if not you may need to look at the instructions to see what address it is) press enter and that should take you to the routers internal settings. Once in there its pretty much up to you with what you want to do, If I remember correctly on lefthand side is where the setup wizard is and all the other settings you can manual change are underneath the setup wizard. I think all you really need to do is name your wireless network, give it a password so no-one else can piggyback off your network and I think that might be it, its been awhile since I set one up.
