You read right! I've watched the guys career sometimes you miss the little things as he does them so often! things that highlight those moments like gifs work well to refresh the memory.
Anyway I'm sure you got that point what was the point in calling me out on it instead of discussing the topic?
Even while Cotto was 'outboxing' Marg he was putting damage in the bank hitting whatever he could, IMO its pressurre that Mayweather hasn't faced before. In the gifs both DLH and Baldomir throw 3/4 punch combinations with wild swings while Marg against Cotto threw much more shorter punches when his opponent was on the ropes without going wildly off balance.
Floyd is a brilliant fighter, but I'm not going to give him the benefit of the doubt against fighters he refuses to face. Someone in another thread mentioned that if Tyson had retired after Spinks he'd be remembered universally as a top 3 heavy in history, if they would have mentioned Holyfield/Lewis in the 90s most 'analyst' would simply brush the challeneg aside (like what actually happened prior to Holyfield-Tyson1), but the fight proved different.
Mayweather has too much class to fight the way Tony would want to fight. Cotto controlled the early going against Marg and then got dragged into something of a war. Mayweather would NOT let this happen and would frustrate Tony all night long!
Can you tell me why Floyd was gassed in rounds 10 and 11 against Hatton? Did you watch the fight? Did you see how Floyd was grasping for air like a fish out of water while he was hugging Hatton? Did you miss that, or you don't pay attention to those kinds of details? Now just imagine Floyd trying to wrestle all night with Tony. Also, if Floyd ever tried to do to Tony what he did to Hatton, that is duck over and over below the waist, Tony would catch that ass, Hatton's punches were always aimed high, just look at what Tony did to Cintron every time Cintron tried to bend that low, Hatton hesitated a lot because he was hitting Floyd behind the head every time Floyd went down that low, Tony never hesitated hitting Cintron in the back of the head when ever Cintron tried it and made Cintron pay, Tony is not that slow and he was landing those huge shots that Hatton was unable to. Imagine a bigger pressure fighter like Margarito and you will see that Tony is relentless and does not gas. Dont tell me you think Floyd would knock out Tony, Floyd would break little hands trying. If you noticed Tony was not always hitting Cotto with flush shots but he was hitting Cotto in the neck, shoulders, arms and everywhere else, Floyd would suffer the same consequeses. Who the fuck said they had no clue who Tony was? Let me tell you that those at the top knew who Tony was, those such as Winky Wright, Sugar Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather Jr all knew who Tony was going back as far as 2001 and none of them wanted to fuck with Tony Margarito.

tony only puts pressure on smaller guys like cotto but against paul or santos it isnt there. and nobody knows him because hes not a big name it will all go away soon if he fights paul again dats y arum wont let him take the rematch yet he wants to get as much out of him as he can.
If a 6rd Oscar pushed him close Margarito surely will. And with his activity has as good a hope as anybody of beating Floyd.
It's what makes this division so entertaining, belts are going back and forth between Quintana, Cotto, Williams, Margarito and Cintron. Santos fight was pretty close and the only reason Tony moved up was because none of the big names wanted anything to do with him. We don't know what would have happend had the fight gone 12 rounds. To say that Tony will some how fall of the face of this earth is crazy, Tony is getting better but then again so are the rest of the fighters like Williams and Cotto and we have Cintron, Clottey, Quintana, also upcommers Berto and Kirkland who is thinking of moving down to 147. The division is still smoking.
Ok then the 9th and 10th you know what I mean. Do you want me to post the footage of Floyd grasping for air? I have never seen him do this, ever.
What don't you understand about ducking below the waist? Floyd did it and so did Cintron. Hatton was afraid to hit Floyd when Floyd was ducking that low because Hatton was getting warned by Cortez to not hit Floyd when ever Floyd ducked that low. Tony will not be afraid to hit Floyd when he goes down that low, just look at what he did to Cintron. I am not comparing Floyd as a whole to Cintron, I am comparing that one action.
I don't think we all give Floyd enough credit for his elusive powers. I predict Margarito will never get to throw a punch near Mayweather near a 50 mile radius.
Mayweather left for a reason, it's too hot and heavy with Cotto, Margarito around, not to mention a tough man in Paul Williams.
But I can't prove it, but I can sure think it. But I also think Cotto has more of what it takes to beat Mayweather (In his prime, since he's retired right now), but after THAT fight with Tony... who knows what Cotto has left. haha
Go Tony!!!!!!!!
