I'm working tonight, so I probably won't get to watch it. At best, I'll get home in time to watch the end of it. Molitor should win this one pretty easily, but I'm worried he's overlooking his opponent as he's got the Caballero fight lined up.

Hopefully the Lions - Als game runs long (and ends in a Lions victory of course) and they have to delay the broadcast of the fight.

Yea I am aware and thank you. Freakin TSN tho, I never trust them. Last fight I was excited about seeing that they were showing, the previous show...I think NASCAR, they decided to overrun it to show the last 40 laps on a caution flag...then cut into boxing as it was almost done.

So let's keep our fingers crossed that the midget bowlers don't have to go to extra frames or something.

    Enjoy the fight!
I can't stand it when they do that.

Earlier today on satellite there was a boxing match that was supposed to be coming on (Channel 143, and it was a Holyfield fight, 2005), but when I turned it they had football going.

Footballs great and all, but I'd rather it not cut into a boxing match, particularly a match with Evander Holyfield.

I wouldnt get too down about losing an exibition.

If anything it should reignite your passion for training and give you new motivation.

    Hey Youngblood,

Sorry to keep this thread active, you might want to just forget it, but in support of your sentiments, I got popped good last night.

It was jabs only against a Light Heavy pro and he just kept flicking his jab in multiples. But he's so strong it kept rocking me back.

When we open spar I hold my own, because I work his body fairly well, but by god my nose is sore this morning.

Actually that's a very good point!

Here they don't even announce a winner for exhibitions for good reason.

That's not meant to be the point of an exhibition.

I don't understand how people can get so worried about exhibitions.

I guess here not having a winner announced make sit easier not to worry about it though.

I think maybe I don't worry too much about them because I had my first bout before my first exhibition - i know it's not in the same category really.

It depends on the commission sponsoring, though its not ethical, but sometimes the commissioner has a vested interest in a fighter, and the fight can just be a set up

That's how you get better, by facing those who are tougher than you.

So I learned that. I forced him to bring everything he had, including a couple of cheap shots. And you are correct Donny, he could not hurt me. He tried...but just couldn't.

    And it shouldn't be.

    Hey all,

Thread is still going strong I see. ha. well good.

All is well here. Busy adjusting to going back to school, working a part-time job and working out in prep. for upcoming fights and tours. Takes some fancy rearranging and discipline, but things are looking good. Have a few santioned matchs in the next few weeks so long as my opponents don't back out. Have provincials for novice coming up, and likely for open shortly after that. One of the things that has been holding me back my coach feels as far as getting sanctioned matches is getting anyone with similar age or experience to go. So basically we are looking to fast track it into open category and hopfully by end of Oct. will be there. So that means provincial novice and then provincial opens within the same month. Will depend on how things go.

Will be nice to fight someone my age for a change, or atleast within a year or two. Very much looking forward to it.

For the record and in retrospct I don't regret how the fight in this thread went at all. Fighting an open fighter who is the best of the best, 10 years older and mops the floors with fighters here and golden glovers from the states, and holding my own against him...much as I hated losing, it does now give me great confidence to fight in my own category.

Likely won't be on here as much as before, for just simply too busy, but do miss adding and learning from you all. Appreciate everyones responses and will keep yas posted on how things shape up in months to come.

Thanks again and best to you all. Punches in bunches,

    YB
