Default Question about putting sugar in a gas tank!.....

This morning we came outside and noticed the door to where you put gas in my Mom's car was open. She checked the fuel level, and it doesn't seem as though anyone's stolen any gas because she drove it yesterday and drove it this morning and it doesn't seem as though the fuel level has fallen.

So then there's the possiblity of someone putting sugar in the gas tank. My question is, if someone puts sugar into the gas tank (it was almost full), how long would it take for the engine to mess up? She's already made one trip to town this morning (12 miles there and another 12 back), and so far no trouble or anything.

(We're hoping she just forgot to close the door all the way, because the fuel cap was a bit loose too).

    1st things 1st.

Did you guys check in and around the tank hole and inspect it to see if there was any sugar grains there in the hole or on the floor.

    Now...
Clubs I guess you never heared or read that the whole Sugar in the Gas tank deal is not necessairly true.

In order for someone to damange your car they would have had to put about 3 to 5 lbs. of sugar into the car for it to have a MAJOR/DAMAGING effect on the car.

More likely someone tried to use an Arkansas Credit Card (gas siphon) and became scared or alarmed and left.

You need a hell of a lot of sugar to mess it up too like a whole 2 lb bag.
I speak from experience and failure.
MAybe some pissed kid had a piss in it . OR maybe you are a sleep walker Clubber and have always fancied that car as your own.

Well the main thing is that todays cars have fuel filters so you could put rocks in your engine and it won't necessarily mess your car up
