This morning we came outside and noticed the door to where you put gas in my Mom's car was open. She checked the fuel level, and it doesn't seem as though anyone's stolen any gas because she drove it yesterday and drove it this morning and it doesn't seem as though the fuel level has fallen.
So then there's the possiblity of someone putting sugar in the gas tank. My question is, if someone puts sugar into the gas tank (it was almost full), how long would it take for the engine to mess up? She's already made one trip to town this morning (12 miles there and another 12 back), and so far no trouble or anything.
(We're hoping she just forgot to close the door all the way, because the fuel cap was a bit loose too).
