wat was the outcome in this fight
dont Fuck with the chuck
I think his pressuring style would be less effective at 154 and so would his physical attributes so i would say no but Daniel Santos did have a 10 pound advantage in this fight you may not realise but he was 170 pounds for this fight where as Antonio Margarito was 160 pounds.........
And the punches that stunned Antonio Margarito were punches on the temple and on the top of the head which will stun anyone his chin help up very well but it was the punches on the top of head that were bothering him the most.
This is scary......pretty identical
1- 10-9 Santos little to much stance switching from Tony but Thought he buzzed Santos.....then Santos buzzed him back with left off temple
2- 9-10 Margarito
3- 10-9 Santos
4- 9-10 Margarito Remember Santos complaining alot.Questionable missed KD along ropes after right to body I thought for Tony
5- 9-10 Margarito More switching from Tony, stuns Santos w/ right.Works him on ropes
6- 10-10....even. Headbutt.Cliche and Hating even rounds.
7- 9-10 Margarito
8- 9-10 Margarito
9- 10-9 Santos subtle shifts nick it for Santos imo.
87-85 Margarito
I have seen this fight many, many times and I had Tony winning this fight before it was stopped. It was a great fight. Santos has been calling out Tony in his most recent interviews. The only thing that has to be holding Tony back are the clash of heads in which Santos just seems to have the harder headThat has to say a lot about how tough Santos is because there arent many fighters with a harder head and chin than Tony.
I definately would love to see these guys go at it again but at what weight? I think it's a winable fight for Tony at either weight but the slight bigger advantage has to go to Tony at 147. Even though Santos was 10 pounds heavier when they faught at 154, Tony still held his own. It was a great battle while it lasted. And let's not forget that many including myself, had Tony winning the fight before it was stopped and Tony was getting stronger in that round and from the looks of things would have gotten even stronger towards the end.
