Nothing wrong with taking a knee i've seen few Amateurs live do it i've seen one of the guys that goes to my gym do it and he comeback to win the fight i personally think its very smart move and to be honest more fighters should do when there dazed or seriously hurt but i suppose its hard to think like that when you've got a rain of punches coming your way or some boxers just have such a big ego that they won't do either way i think more fighters should do it if i remember rightly didn't Serguei Lyakhovich go down on one knee against Lamon Brewster ?
