I think in theory Im supposed to be included in that, which is odd, considering Ive been here for quite a while, and I was born and raised around Philadelphia,PA.
I dont recall many washboard/banjo groups around the Germantown area, nor any stills, though there were some crackhouses.
For some odd reason, people assume, just because I live in WV,Im from here.I moved here because its pretty, and after a year of living in Jacksonville, that has serious appeal. Not only that I got my house/gym for 28 K

Well Sir, that make you a hillbilly, Redneck, City Feller all in one.

You have now joined an elite group of people thar. Yes Sir, next thing you know, ya'll be chawing on some toebacy, have six blood hounds under the front porch, six cars in the back yard (in various forms of repair) and the kitchen sink in the front yard next to the tub, waiting to be re-installed in the house.

Oh dear lord,I hope not, chewing tobacco makes me want to hurl. And you forgot the boiled peanuts, which also make me want to hurl. My main concession to living in the south,is I make some mean ass pulled pork now(insert jokes right there). To make matters worse,I find Nascar duller then dog s,"He went straight for a bit,and then he made a left turn,he went straight for a bit and then he made another left turn, what shall happen next?"

I dont deny the appeal, but I havent watched a Nascar race since Petty retired, and I have a cousin that raced unmodifieds(yes there are Northern rednecks)his hero was the guy who got decapitated in the late 50's early 60's,and I swear even though they lived in a Philly suburb, his nickname was Skeeter

    Whats wrong with Skeeter?

Been a good ten years or more since I watched Nascar races or Forumla One. They do not show them down here in Oz too often and lost interest some time ago.

Most of my family lives in Georgia, have some Cherokee and Seminole in the blood line way back. Thing is, I remember what the trem "Redneck" used to mean. Not the up-dated version going around now. For the working folks in the south it was a somewhat word of pride. It used to mean a person who was hard working and honest as the day is long.

As for nicknames, Skeeter is not that bad. If I set my mind to it, I could more than likely come up with a few worst than that.
