My ten best: Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Sugar Ray Robinson, Harry Greb,
Henry Armstrong, Roberto Duran, Tony Canzoneri, Willie Pep, Eder Jofre,
and Jimmy Wilde.
Muhammed Ali was great, but more flash and style than substance.
Come on now. He fought just about every contender around and performed well against them. When he lost a lot of his flash and style in the ring, in the mid 70s, he still got the job done.
The top ten list you have is not bad though. Ezzard Charles, Sam Langford, Muhammad Ali, and Benny Leonard all have solid claims though to being top 10. Not sure who I'd remove though.
