Mayorga has been beat in his prime by guys liek Tito , Oscar and Spinks . You can make a case for Mosley being better than all those guys and I think this version of Mayorga gets taken to school in this fight

The he fuels Shanes fire with the trash talk , the more focused Mosley will be .

Mosleys getting hurt and a wake up call by someone who fights hard and reckless,(giving everything they have to win and not standing back and giving Mosley time and space to prserve his old legs).

I never really rated Cotto after the way he has been hurt agaisnt nobodys and went up to welter to fight old light welters, until he fights a genuine bigger man who takes all he has then Cotto just quits!!

Mosley got the best result he could have hoped for against Cotto and now fighting a bigger stronger, more resiliant, aggressive and powerfull fighter in Margarito, Shane gets rescued by the ref early

I was having enough trouble taking what you say seriously, but after that statement it's impossible.

Try watching Margarito getting beat easy by Williams and then you might understand, poor little Cotto.

Yeah yeah styles make fights, Cottos style aint good enough to beat decent fighters from his own weight class, let alone Margarito who cant beat Williams or Santos or whoever the other journey men are that beat him

Again you demonstrate your ignorance. Williams beat Margarito, but it was a close fight and by no means an easy one. Santos is arguably the best fighter at 154, he'd give anyone in that division fits IMO. Also, I doubt you've ever seen the Margarito - Santos II fight, because it was very close and many people feel Margarito was robbed.

Cotto lost, he got beaten up and quit, he didnt want to lose by fighting, he sat on his ass and cried.

Did Williams quit? Even Cintron fought rather than quit.

Mosley came no where near making Cotto quit, in fact Cotto made the fight look boring by outboxing the slowing Mosley and taking everything he had to offer.

I'm not sure what this has to do with my last response, but whatever.

Cotto did not quit, Margarito beat him until he had nothing left. The fight was stopped because Cotto's corner threw in the towel.

So Cotto made the Mosley fight boring by outboxing him and beating him? Would you have preferred him to allow Mosley to knock him down, just to increase the drama? What a fucking stupid statement. I, and many others, thought it was a good, close fight.

Ross your lack of knowledge here is showing again Antonio Margarito really beat Daniel Santos, but Santos got a gift decision. Plus the fight was at 154 and Santos was 170 pounds on fight night which was 10 pounds heavier than Margarito. And Antonio Margarito's other losses was when he was a teenager fighting grown men, the only real loss i consider on Margarito's resume is the Williams loss.

    Ok, Santos really wan

So what if Santos weighed more on fight night, he weighed the same at the weigh in and thats all that matters, what your saying is Santos had more to sacrifice to make weight, thats why Margarito went down a weight and then he was in the same position as Santos over little Cotto.

Even if you only consider Margaritos real loss Williams, well Williams managed to lose to a fighter that Cotto had already beat (regardless of the rematch, he lost.)

Mosley couldnt do anything with Cotto and this is his claim to fame

Mick, why wouldnt I credit Mosley with a win if I think Mayorga is going to?

You haven't even seen Santos vs Margarito 2 so how can you comment on it ? its obvious the size had an impact on the fight. Margarito was getting stunned and hurt more often than he usely does, because of the weight difference.

And the headbutt which badly cut Margarito changed the fight around aswell, but Margarito still deserved to win and if you score it RBR then its impossible to have Santos winning IMO.

Have you ever heard of styles make fights ? Williams style was effective against Margarito, because he could outwork Margarito, use angles, and because Margarito come forward. Williams could not use those advantages against Quintana because Quintana was a mover and a Southpaw.

But didn't Williams destroy Quintana in half a round in the rematch when he was motivated ? so i don't see your point. Mosley couldn't do anything with Cotto ? have you even watched the fight ? i had the fight a draw and Mosley come on really strong at the end, and looked the stronger fighter after 12 rounds. Because he was coming forward where as Cotto was cut and on the backfoot.

Mayorga early, the banger from Managua will be dangerous early and being the bigger man, he should give Mosley a fair bit to handle, look for a shock.
It will be a lot of fun though as it always is when Mayorga's laces em up.
