I was a big Naseem fan from his very early fights and maybe I'm being a little hard on him because I feel a little short changed... he did achieve a lot but could have achieved so much more.

He did give us some great fights - I went to a number of them including the one in Wales against Steve Robinson when Naz boxed an almost perfect fight.

He fought for all the main belts at his weight, headlined in New York and Vegas in Big fights, was one of the countrys most know faces at the time, brought a lot of new fight fans to the game with his unique showbiz style.Mega rich.

I would say thats a definition of a great career.

Plus he knew when it was time to get out of the game.

I know what you are saying but for me he fell at the final hurdle to greatness when losing to MAB. Maybe I am being a little hard on him

I understand what you are saying.I think at that stage of his career Hamed liked the showBiz part of boxing more than the fighting part of boxing.Pity.

My father and brother went to the Robinson fight in Cardiff,I could not go due to the fact I was in basic training in the army at the time.
