I dont think the weight will be as big a problem for Ricardo as it will for Shane.

Ricardo, by his later standards, had good stamina at 164lbs and still had power up there, I think he had to put weigth on, or rather he felt he needed to so not to let Vargas have any advantge.

Shane on the other hand, is 37 and a fighter who rellys on his speed, at this age and fighting heavier I think he'll be a touch slower, whereas Mayorgas speed and mobility will improve from the Vargas fight.

If the fight had been at 147lb then the weight might have been a worry for Mayorga but I think its gonna slow Shane down more than itll weaken Mayorga.

Shane is slowing anyway with age and getting caught alot more, with the extra weight, long lay off (Yeah Ricardo has had nearly as much time off but we all worry more about Shane getting caught here than Mayorga) and any lasting impression cottos punches had on him.

I know Mayorga didnt train right for Oscar, which is why he got caught using diuretics but he still gav him a scrap till he gassed and hurt him, which is why Oscar has warned Shane of Mayorgas power.

Why would shane be worried about getting hit he has been down once in his career and he has faced good power fighters. Oscar De lay hoya could not even hurt him Oscar has alot power and was quick also. I dont get why you be worried about Mosley getting hit he has not been Koed like Mayorga and with him facing Forrest, Oscar and Vargas and only being knocked down once in all those fights i am not worried about his chin at all and getting hit.

Mosley has never fought at 37 before, hes never fought anyone who hits as hard and starts as fast as Mayorga before, Shane starts slow, gets drawn in to a brawl and gets caught and overwhelmed

Put it this way, im one of the very few who one here at least, posted that Khan would lose to Prescott, alot of people mocked Prescott as a challenger Not me I saw Khans weeknesses, just like I see Shanes weeknesses for a fighter like Mayorga.

Get some money on Mayorga, hes 5 to 1 just for the win, any round to 6 is 50 to 1, 6 to 12 is 66 to 1, good odds, im going for a fiver each on the first second and third

Shane is there for the taking and Mayorga is the last man you want to fight at that stage of your career.

I'd be shocked if someone as crude as Mayorga KO'd even an ancient Mosely earlydoors.. more chance later on.. although I think Mosley will win on PTS.

Well, when Forrest beat up Mosely Twice would you have expected someone as crude as Mayorga to smash and outbox Forrest Twice?

No.. but it's all about styles and what not.. plus that was 5/6 years ago. Mayorga is surely just as jaded as Mosley.

Predicting Khan would get knocked out by a puncher is like predicting it will rain when it's cloudy.

Mayorga's weaknesses are more numerous and more glaring than SSM's.

You saw Khans weaknesses, just like you see Mosleys for Mayorga?!? Am I actually reading this. I think your just focusing solely on this hope of yours that Shane has really slowed down since Cotto, and neglecting to see that Mayorga is way more shot, was never nearly as good to begin with, got dropped hard in 30 seconds then punished and stopped brutally by Oscar when Mosley stood up to his power fine over 24 rounds. Whats more is that Mosley KO'ed Vargas in 5 in a fight which marked the absolute end of anything Vargas had left, and yet Mayorga then couldn't even finish him a year later? Even if I buy into the way you seem to break down fights, your not making sense to me bud.

Id like to agree, but looking at the way Mosley went 12 with Cotto easily (well it didnt look easy, but it was very competitive) , I dont think Mayorga can take him out.

The weight is at 154lb, Shane has been making 147lb easy, at his age to boot, hes moving up half a stone to face a younger fighter whos last fight was a fast paced ten rounder, carrying 10lb of extra fat.

Shane is deluding himself and his fans that he can do any better against Cotto.

I think Shane will weigh 150 at the weigh in, he's not stupid, his best assets are his speed and stamina he's not going to give those up.

Mayorga doesn't have much of a chance IMO, I still hope for a Mayorga-Margarito matchup but it won't be because of Ricardo beating Shane.
