Margarito stops him in 7 or less.

Thats because Daniel Santos was 170 pounds and had a 10 pound advantage. Plus Antonio Margarito was hurt by shots on the temple not shots on the chin.

i know, im not neccesarily saying Mayorga would beat him but he COULD

im just fed up of people talking about Margarito as if his a machine and can never be wobbled or hurt

Well at Welterweight i don't think he can be hurt by anyone, the only reason he got hurt by Santos was because of the ridiculous weight difference, Margarito was moving up in weight. And like i said Santos had a slight height advantage so he was able to rock Margarito with shots on the top of the head/temple etc.

That was in the 4th round it was a counter shot and Margarito was off balance it caught him by suprise if i remember rightly. He wasn't hurt but he was having alot of trouble dealing with Clottey's style.

No matter what happened it would be a fun fight. It would resemble dropping 2 pit bulls into a phone booth

He can be hurt and wobbled but if cotto and Cintron couldn't why would a past his prime wide punching Mayorga do it ? Mayorgas chin is not what it used to be also.

Tito ruined his chin much like he did to vargas, regardless though i think Mayorga does still carry alot of power, he is still the only fighter to stop Vernon Forest let us not forget

I thought margarito was going to fight clottey again?

Margarito, IMO, should fight clottey or PW to reign supreme.. why beat around the bush? he just beat the best fighter in the division..

ICB, what are your feelings if a margarito/PBF fight took place.. hypothetically?

I appreciate the recognition...I always thought these guys would bring out the worst in each other which the end result would be GREAT for the fans.

Hell even Shane Mosley vs Margarito would be good if you ask me but Mayorga is a nasty guy and Margarito can be that way as well it would be like Roberto Duran vs Jake LaMatta or something
