Am I the only one who see's in De La Hoya the same kind of mind as George Bush when he wanted to invade Iraq?
It was his plan well before the Twin Towers to invade Iraq and finish what Daddy started and every event and pieces of evidence (??) were twisted to shape things so that a military invasion was never in doubt.
I think De La Hoya has done exactly the same. He wanted the gold and the money with a fight with Floyd (read American oil)
So he hand picked a primitive, wild amatuer fighter whose title he knew he could win (read Iraq)
Now it gets clever. He also knows Mayorga is a crude, rude crazy talking man (Saddam) who could spout of a load of crazy S*** and in so doing really hype up the fight (Al Qi-eda, Taliban, Weapons of mass destruction ) and would have the further benefit of allowing De La Hoya to present himself as the decent human being, the people's champion (Bush the protector of freedom and democracy) so that the public would be on his side and flock to him as their champion, reinstalling his golden boy image of just the perfect human being.
Now he's done the boxing world a favour and freed us from the nasty Mayorga he's presenting himself as a man torn, not knowing whether he has it in him to fight on or not ( read Rocky before the Drago fight, or probably in Oscar's mind Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane!)
Soon he will emerge from his boat trip (Jesus wilderness tests) to tell us he is going to fight Floyd after all. (floyd is Bush's Iran and North Korea combined!)
His fans will cheer, he will present himself once more as the saviour, and fight Floyd in a chance to pocket yet more gold and riches and hopefully have the glory of beating the p4p man in the world right now.
The only positive thing here is that like North Korea and soon Iran Floyd has nuclear weapons! Any attempt De La Hoya (the US) to take Floyds crown (oil) will be met with real force and a defcon 1 situation where hopefully Oscar will be blown up and torn apart!
You can probably tell I don't like Oscar very much.
