Has anyone heard of Anthony Peterson ?

Has anyone ever heard of Andre Berto? A friend of mine told me he is a boxer that is really quick?

To be fair this forum isn't meant to be a pissing contest about who has the wider fighting knowledge.

We should welcome all comers no matter what level of knowledge they have. I guess few outside the hardcore fans will have heard of either Peterson brother, or maybe even Berto for that matter so we shouldn't feel the need to boast about our superior awareness of fighters.

Well said. Take me for instance. . .I love boxing, but I have too much other crap in my head and not enough time to really study the sport like I would. That's why I love the 'net and forums like Saddo. I don't have to know anything (and believe me I really don't when it comes to boxing) - I can just ask or look it up.

Not everyone has the same time and desire to learn about any subject in great depth. Beside's the knowledge we have here is so irrelevent to the outside world that it's not really worth boasting about.

I post on a couple other non boxing forums occasionally about chess, rowing, exercise etc. I don't know a huge amount about any of these subjects and in the case of exercise and rowing etc I really don't care to know more than I need to be able to stay reasonably fit and healthy.

But it's annoying when I make a post asking for example about drag factor on my Concept 2 that some smart ass will make a long and detailed posting explaining things to an insane level of detail and 'correct' any other user's innacurracies no matter how minor. He obviously thinks it makes him look clever and knowledgable but neglects that it also makes him look like a no lifed cunt......
