Has anyone ever had Red Stripe beer?

It's Jamaican, and every time I go and buy my Newcastle Brown I pass it in the imports isle. I've never heard anything but 3rd hand information about it, has anyone ever had it and is it any good?

Used to drink it in clubs around 10 years ago and loved it.

How you can drink Newcastle Brown is beyond me

One time we were at a school late at night and there was some other people there who thought we were the cops. Anyways I traded them a 12 pack of Natty Ice for a 6 pack of Red Stripe and an MGD 36 oz. It was a great trade as Natty ice sucks. It's ok beer, I'm not that high on beer in general but it is pretty good.

To me it really depends on my mood if I want something real smooth and I"m just hanging out or out to dinner then I would stick with the New Castle that stuff is good.
The only way I would pick a Red Stripe over a New Castle is on a really hot day. Red Stripe tastes really good when its super super cold. Its refreshing on a hot day. To me anyway.

whats wrong with Budweisser ?

When I have been in US or Canada in local places (not vegas) they often turn their nose up when I asked for Bud and said 'are you sure ?' with a smile.

is it an Americas thing ??
