By all accounts, this Delray guy performed impressively...

    - 4 days notice
    - a big step up
    - finished the fight
    - very good learning experience

No need to insult the guy and/or his manager...

You know very well how it feels if your boxer will be looked down... Or your efforts to promote your boxer will be ridiculed...

    You're a trainer, right?

Yep you haven't said sh!t about the boxer for you know very well the inner workings of this sport... You're one of the members here who is much closer to the sport...

It's just amazing how fans treated those who made their living out of boxing (boxers, trainers, managers, etc.)...

Please do me a favor and don't come "save the day"... Raines went above and beyond how he was expected to... Congrats to him as to fight above your level and to perform well is a great contribution to his character as well as his career...

    But...

To even attempt to call this sideshow a "promoter" is a farce... This kid did it on training, will and heart...

Congrats to him and all the best to his career in the future. Simms is a good fighter. He proved his medal!

I was here when this thread started and I even gave this Delray guy 33% chance of winning purely based on his manager's/trainer's pronouncements here... I believed on what his manager said about the guy earlier...

Simms also gets lazy in the ring and while he does good work to the body doesn't ever really go into fullout attack mode, so it's not inconcievable that Raines did go rounds with him. It's an accomplishment for sure and Raines has been in the ring with some good guys so fair play to him but really, this is ridiculous. It's funny how Stacy is talking down on everyone here yet I think he's the only person in this thread who has actually been banned from this place haha Some hotshot, being banned from an internet forum. He thinks he's Don King when he's no more Don King then the guy renting out condemned apartments in Oakland is Donald Trump. Really we would be best served to just ignore him and his severely inflated ego.

Well thanks Saddo Boxer ! I appreciate the cool words. And these
guys don't like me being here. Is why the talk the kid down. I know
what I did in boxing and I know what I am doing. I love the sport
that has become my life !And I come here to tell about my kid and
how good I think he did , They try to get me to flame at them so
they can try and get me banned because they think as long as I am
here , they feel their boxing knowledge is threatened. But I was
banned here before for putting up my fight posters about my charity
fights for Autism , because my youngest two sons were diagnosed
with it about 4 years ago. After getting ran out ,I Never came back
until the one Known as Boston Pride was ripping on a friend of mine
on his Trailer Park Radio show , I thought it was NOT cool so I lashed
back at him , So a few of the haters got me banned ! I since
then talked to the Administrator ! And have promised only to come here in
peace ! But I will throw a few stones back on occasion !And as
far as their mean statements its fun to listen to their side of the
story of boxing and what they think of me and whats goes on,
In the real world of boxing based on something they read or heard
on T.V. But I think they know I give it very little consideration
as being anything to take to serious , Or least I would think
    they wouldn't

Cool man... You've been in the real world boxing business for so long... You've promoted/managed world champs, contenders, prospects, you name it all... You handled various situations in real boxing world and I'm sure you can handle the things here...

And to add that you're a former boxer and your wife is a former boxing world champ... I think that sums it all about your boxing credibility...

We will just keep it cool and discuss boxing objectively...
